Currently there are almost 500 schools in Poland, where classes are conducted as part of 3 educational programs of the Ministry of Defence. In his occasional speech, the head of the MON announced the launch of a fresh educational project: a drone program for cadets. any 500 students from 16 schools will take part in pilot classes, which will start from the beginning of the next school year. They will supply specialised training on the handling of unmanned workers. The Minister announced the preparation of the teacher staff and the improvement of the curriculum, so that the students will get real and useful operational skills. “We are betting on the drone troops that I have appointed to become Minister of National Defence,” said Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz. “So we will request drone operators,” he added. The Minister stated that in the close future all soldier of the Polish Army, in addition to a firearm or helmet, will besides be equipped with individual drones. – This is “The Army of the Future”, this is simply a soldier of the future. The inauguration of the school year was besides an chance to present awards and distinctions for outstanding students. Fourteen cadets were honored for their peculiar achievements in discipline and athletics and for promoting patriotic attitudes. Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz and Colonel Grzegorz Wawrzynkiewicz, Head of the Central Military Recruitment Centre, besides presented awards to 2 cadets from the General Education advanced School of Fr. For the second time in a row, the girls took first place in the nationwide Polish Military cognition Tournament – ‘Military Ekstraklasa’.
