On the second day of the global Defence manufacture Salon, Prime Minister Donald Tusk was the guest of the Kielce event. The Head of Government stressed that during the visit he met representatives of the Polish arms industry, both state and private, who showed him their products. – Everyone said without exception: “This is our production, we invented it and we produce it, it is Polish and it is unrivalled”, Tusk added. The Prime Minister noted that Polish equipment is of large interest and e.g. Lightning set "It has already become a legend of the Polish armoury", because, as he noted, the interest in orders for these launchers is repeatedly exceeded by the production capacity of Mesko.
– Poland will no longer be a large treasury for abroad companies and allied states, erstwhile it comes to spending money on arms," Tusk argued. – Our most crucial task present is to strengthen Polish production capabilities, and consequently besides maximum independency in terms of the ability to defend the homeland – he added. The Prime Minister pointed out that the Kielce Fair shows that Poland is becoming an increasingly serious player in global markets. “In just over a year we have almost doubled our export volume,” said Donald Tusk. He recalled that during the MSPO, a contract was signed between PGZ-et and PKO BP to run the credit line. – We decide to increase backing for Polish Armed Forces Group, and through the PGZ for Polish civilian and military technological institutes and for Polish companies, both private and state-owned," said the Prime Minister.
The head of government besides informed that almost 1,000 entities had already responded to the call of the PGZ-et to the company. “The president of the Polish Armed Forces Group has pledged to meet with each of these companies, due to the fact that it is possible that each of them will find its place”, said Prime Minister Tusk and added that in mid-September, a strategical partner for the PGZ-et will be chosen, with which Polish the company will build a fresh artillery mill in Pionki 155 mm.
