Anti-board mines, training torpedoes, aerial bombs for F-35 aircraft, SAPF containers, which will aid to safe the landing of these helicopters on the alleged DOLs, or road sections of airports – specified equipment will shortly be delivered to the Polish army under 4 contracts signed by the Armed Forces Agency in Kielce today.

Contracts were concluded at the global Defence manufacture Salon in Kielce. The first contract concerns supplies of MPB-ZN anti-board mines, which are produced by the Bydgoszcz company Belma. Ammunition of this kind is equipped with peculiar sensors that activate erstwhile a combat vehicle, for example a tank, passes by it. It affects the side parts of the vehicle. Torpedoes will aid to train Polish crews of frigates of OHP and helicopters designed to combat submarines – SH-2G and AW-101, and in the future besides frigate of Swordfisher. They operate on akin rules as conflict torpedoes. However, erstwhile launched or thrown into the water, they do not scope the target, but they lose speed. Then they can be harvested and reused. Value of the contract – PLN 39 million. The deliveries are to be made within 29 months.

Contract number 3 involves the acquisition of 2 sets of SAPF containers. In containers, it will be possible to hold field posts for processing classified information. They will be used, among another things, during missions utilizing the alleged DOL, or road sections of the airport. During this kind of activity, aircraft land on specially prepared sections of public roads. Containers will be delivered by the Dutch company Contour Advanced Systems, while the contract value is PLN 66 million. The agreement should be implemented by 2028.

Finally, contract number four. It will benefit airmen first. The agreement involves the acquisition of respective 100 glider GBU-39/B (SDB-I) aircraft bombs for F-35. Each bomb weighs about 120 kilograms, of which 90 kilograms is simply a warhead. The scope of their glide is about 100 kilometres [100 km], and the mark is within a fewer metres. Supplies worth about $120 million net will be made by 2028. The parties to the agreement are the governments of Poland and the USA.
