The Ministry of National Defence invites to the seventh edition of the Marian Rejewski competition for postgraduate work in the area of cybersecurity or cryptology. The deadline for applications until 15 September 2025 is 30 1000 PLN. is this year's award for the 7th edition of the competition. 20 and 15,000 will be awarded to the winners of the next seats.

For the seventh time, the Department of Cyber safety of the Ministry of National Defence has organised and is conducting a substantive competition for the Marian Rejewski Award for the best technological work in the area of cybersecurity and cryptology.

We invitation you to participate in the competition:
• students from technical, social and humanities fields whose topics of technological work affect widely understood cybersecurity, protecting the state against threats in the realities of cyberspace. An example of the enlarged area of interest of the jury of the Competition is the winning work of the 6th edition, concerning the analysis of the detection of false messages sources on social networks, or the improvement of competences to track sources of disinformation.

RECLAMA

• work prepared in Polish or English may be submitted to the competition;

• submission of work to the Competition may be made only by its author to the address of the Ministry or to the email address of the [email protected] by 15 September 2025, together with completed applications of the attached REGULAMINU. Details on the website https://www.cyber.mil.pl/edition-vii

The competition is conducted in 2 categories:
• for the best engineering, undergraduate and master's thesis;
• for the best doctorate.

Participants of the competition in category I may be persons who have defended engineering, undergraduate or master's thesis at the university, established in the territory of the Republic of Poland, not earlier than 1 October 2020. Participants of the competition in category II may be those who defended a doctoral dissertation, on the basis of which the subject, established in the territory of the Republic of Poland, awarded a doctoral degree, not earlier than 1 October 2020.

The works submitted for the erstwhile editions of the Marian Rejewski Prize and assessed in substance cannot be re-participated in the 7th edition of the Competition. This reservation does not apply to works which have not previously passed the formal evaluation phase or have been notified after the deadline.

W The competition may be awarded cash prizes, additional prizes and in-kind prizes.
The awards in category I are:
• 1st prize – a cash prize of PLN 150.00;
• 2nd prize – a cash prize of PLN 100.00;
• 3rd prize – cash prize of PLN 8.000.00.
Prizes in Category II are:
• 1st prize – a cash prize of PLN 300.00;
• 2nd prize – cash prize of PLN 200.00;
• 3rd prize – cash prize of PLN 150.00.

Additional awards, to be chosen by the winners of the competition are:
• a visit to the Dęblin garrison, taking into account the presentation of delegated ship simulators and parachute jumps, utilized for training under the Air Force Academy, visiting the Air Force Museum in Dęblin, visiting 41 School Air Force Bases with the anticipation of seeing close-up aircraft equipped with a chopper or training aircraft.
• a visit to the Naval Academy with a motor boat cruise in the Gulf of Gdańsk, a visit to the War Port in Gdynia, a presentation of selected university simulators.
• crossing the Abrams tank, carried out by the 1st Armoured Brigade;
• rescue training after emergency landing on water, carried out by the Training Centre of the Polish Army Divers and Plenipotentiaries.

The selection of the winners is carried out by the Jury of the Competition, examining the substantive evaluation carried out by experts selected from among persons with technological achievements, cognition and experience in fields corresponding to the subject substance of work. The composition of the Chapter gives young scientists a chance to be noticed and in the future invited to cooperate with the military or another defence institutions of Poland. The Chapter consists of: manager of DC MON, Commander of the Cyberspace defence Army, Head of the Management Board of Management and Command – P6 General Staff of the HR, manager of the Military Counterintelligence Service Board, manager of the Military Intelligence Service Department, manager of the Military Communications Institute, manager of the Cybersecurity Expert Training Centre, Commander of the Territorial defence Cyberspace Action Team.
