Volunteers who joined the “Holiday with the Army 2” programme last week took an crucial step in their soldier adventure – faced the first phase of basic training.
The training lasts 27 days and its main goal is to prepare recently incarnate soldiers for military service. Participants are acquainted with the basic principles of military operation – discipline, hierarchy, uniform and military customs. all day of training is simply a fresh challenge they face. The recruits will learn the basics of the soldier's profession – from the drill to safe and effective handling of the weapons assigned to them, to tactics on the battlefield. Each component of the training aims to both rise their individual skills as well as build a coherent and effective team.
"Holidays with the Army" is the second edition of a nationwide program implemented by the Ministry of Defence, aimed at expanding the possible of reserves and promoting military service. This program is simply a proposal for people who are focused on development, discipline and active lifestyle, who want to test themselves in a fresh environment, which the Homeland is close to the heart. Primary schools will end with a ceremonial military oath, and the best and most enduring participants will be able to enter specialised training as a pass to professional military service.
