The celebrations of the Polish Army in the 1st Legion Infantry Division of the Marshal Józef Piłsudski began on the evening of 13 August with the Solemn Cape Town and the Memorial Appeal. The ceremony in Siemiatycze was connected with the ceremony of awarding the Ensign of the Polish Army 2nd Armoured Legion Brigade.
- The Ensign of the Polish Army is simply a hallmark, a manifestation of values, but besides a symbol of unity, sacrifice and courage. It is simply a sign that in hard times soldiers are led to fight, and in times of peace it reminds of their mission – to service their homeland and to defend the values that are the foundation of our freedom (...). Today, erstwhile we give Chorągiew, we pay tribute to those who not only fought but besides built our national identity and our independence," said Dr. Norbert Ivanowski, Commander of the 1st Legion Infantry Division, Marshal Józef Piłsudski.

Celebration celebrations in Siemiatycze were celebrated by a defilade at the accompaniment of the Military Orchestra from Siedlec and a show of military equipment. Participants had the chance to taste conventional soldier peas and visit promotional posts and talk to soldiers about serving in the Polish Army.
