The Armed Forces Support Inspectorate organized a gathering at the Military Academy of Technology Club with Polish companies curious in the issue of supplies of unmanned aircraft (BSP) for the Polish Army. It was attended by about 70 performers who could contribute to the improvement of the army's possible for micro and mini class drones.
The gathering was besides attended by representatives of the Inspectorate of Armed Forces Support (RBLog, BLog and WOG) and the BSP contractors of the Inspectorate of Armed Forces Unmanned Systems DGRSZ, Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces, WOT Command, Military Intelligence Service and Military Academy Aviation. The main nonsubjective of the task was to get information on the possible of home BSP producers in the production and supply of finished products of general commercial use.
During the meeting, the military side defined the general scope of interest of the Polish Armed Forces in the area of BSP acquisition in 2025. “It is indicated for the request to get systems in micro and mini categories, equipped with dayheads, thermal and FPV systems,” informs the IWSZ Communication Activities Department.
The gathering at WAT, which took place on 31 July, attracted interest of about 70 companies, of which nearly half presented their production capacity and offer of BSP supplies. – Thanks to the engagement of the contractors, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland have gained broad cognition of the national industrial possible in this area – added representatives of the IWSZ, which does not exclude that further meetings of a similar, informative nature will be held in the future. Their aim is to further identify the capabilities of national producers in the field of equipment, which may be acquired by the Polish Army.
Recall that a fewer days before the gathering at WAT, Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk announced “the beginning drone revolution in Polish armed forces.” This was the case at the Air Force method Institute after signing contracts with the directors of military investigation institutes concerning the improvement of tactics, techniques and procedures for the usage of unmanned weapons systems. “We were preparing a full strategy of changes to fill armed forces with unmanned weapons systems in the shortest possible time,” said Tomczyk. The foundation of these changes is the creation of a fresh drone centre in ITWL, which will be liable for design, production, testing, testing, operation of drones and method and method support.
