On 22 July 2025, Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda chaired the Ministry of Defence delegation at IDEF 2025 - global Defence manufacture Fair - 1 of the largest arms fairs in the world. The fair is held in Istanbul and their organization is supervised by the Turkish Ministry of Defence and president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Deputy Minister Bejda had the chance to personally thank president Erdoğan for inviting and welcoming the Polish delegation.
During the fair, the latest technologies from various segments of the defence manufacture were presented. Unmanned systems, combat vehicles and rocket launchers included innovative solutions. There were besides combat electronics, advanced simulators and equipment designed to neutralize explosives. A visit to Istanbul confirmed that Turkey sees Poland as a serious defence partner.
The talks led by the Deputy Minister Beję with key representatives of the Turkish industrial sphere, specified as the president of the Defence manufacture Agency, prof. Haluk Gorgun and the CEO of MKE, Ilham Keles, showed large interest in strengthening cooperation in almost all section of the industry. This opens up a chance for real benefits for both sides, possibly leading to joint efforts, which can definitely strengthen both countries' global position.
