Uncompromising Commander
Waldemar Skrzypczak began his military service in 1976 erstwhile he began studying at the Higher School of Armoured Forces in Poznań. During his career he commanded, among others, the 32th Mechanized Regiment, the 16th Mechanized Division, the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division, and in 2005 on the 4th PKW change Iraq – Multinational Center-South Division.
From 2006 to 2009, he was a commander of the ground troops. In 2009, in protest against the Ministry of Defence's policy, he resigned. In 2011, he became advisor to then head of the MON Tomasz Siemoniak in the field of method modernization of the Polish Army. In 2012, he became Deputy Minister of Defence liable for buying for the military. In November 2013, he resigned after the Military Counterintelligence Service filed a study on his possible to commit a crime.
Since 2015, he has been an advisor to the manager of the Military Institute of Armed Forces. He was released from this function in 2017 in consequence to the criticism he committed against the spokesperson of MON Bartłomiej Misiewicz.
General Skrzypczak was honored with many awards, including the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Military Cross and the Golden Cross of Merit.
