Uncompromising Commander

Waldemar Skrzypczak began his military service in 1976 erstwhile he began studying at the Higher School of Armoured Forces in Poznań. During his career he commanded, among others, the 32th Mechanized Regiment, the 16th Mechanized Division, the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division, and in 2005 on the 4th PKW change Iraq – Multinational Center-South Division.

From 2006 to 2009, he was a commander of the ground troops. In 2009, in protest against the Ministry of Defence's policy, he resigned. General Skrzypczak was honored with many awards, including the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Military Cross and the Golden Cross of Merit.
