4 billion dollars – that's how much credit guarantees granted to Poland present by the United States government. The appropriations will come from the abroad Military Financing budget and will be utilized to finance expenditure on modernization of the Polish Army. The FMF is an American national program that grants and loans to allied countries for the acquisition of U.S. military weapons and equipment and the financing of training services.

The weapons and equipment of American production represent a large part of the supplies for the Polish Army. Today, Polish soldiers are already using, among others, Polish soldiers. The funds obtained will be utilized for partial repayment of contracts already concluded for the transportation of American arms to the Polish army – 96 Apache helicopters and subsequent Patriot launchers under phase II of the Vistula programme.
Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that the agreement signed present is not the last specified agreement under the FMF programme and that negotiations are underway on further guarantees.
