General Herci Halewi, Chief of General Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces, reported on Tuesday that on 6 March he would resign from his post. The reason for this decision is to take work for the failure of the army during the attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023. A ceasefire has been in force in the conflict caused by this event since Sunday.
