“Here is the top strength and warrant of the future of our army, the Polish soldier. This raised minute of military oath is the beginning of a soldier's road and service based on the highest values: love for the Homeland, honor, integrity of spirit and work for Poland, for the Nation, for the full society and for the comrades of arms" - said Brig. Gen. Prof. hab. inż. Przemysław Wachulak during the ceremonial military oath of the subjects of WAT.
The ceremony was held on Saturday 27 September 2025 at the appeal square of the Military method Academy. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of National Defence, state institutions, commander of the Polish Army, representatives of investigation centres, clergy, combatants, dean of academic departments, teaching staff and staff of the Academy, and many parents and close soldiers.
According to the Ministry of Defence's limit for the academic year 2025/2026 studies at the Military method Academy will begin 1243 subjects. It's the biggest recruitment limit in college history. any of the admissions have already taken a military oath.
POLAND ENCOURAGES PREPARATION FOR SERVICE
Director of the Department of Military Education MON Jakub Mykowski read the letter of Undersecretary of State Stanisław Wzątek. "Your entry into the ranks of the Polish Army is peculiarly crucial at a time erstwhile the Polish army is undergoing dynamic development. Deep technological transformation and introduction of advanced combat systems to equipment creates an urgent request for commanders with thorough education and skills to meet the challenges of the modern battlefield. Your oath is simply a consequence to the challenges of modern times – the Homeland is waiting present not only for sacrificial soldiers, but besides for wise and liable commanders, who will lead their people both during peace and during the hr of trial" - wrote Minister Stanislaw Wzątek to military students. He stressed that Poland is inactive raising generations ready to service and sacrifice for the common good.

The Rector-Commander WAT Gen. Brig. Prof. Przemysław Wachulak pointed out the importance of the military oath in his speech. "The year of the military oath is the most beautiful words for a soldier; words that build his life identity. In a minute you will say: I, a soldier of the Polish Army, curse to service faithfully the Republic of Poland. This means that in your veins, along with blood flows love for the Homeland and you are ready to give it even the highest gift – your life. But besides remember that present and the future Polish Army besides uses top-class technologies. At WAT, you have the chance to get to know them and make them so that our country and our citizens are safe," the Rector stressed. He stressed that his solemn military oath was made during times of demanding and challenging safety not only in Poland but besides in the world. At the same time, it is simply a unique 75-year academic activity of WAT.
The Rector thanked his parents for raising liable young people. He assured that at the Military method Academy they would find full support for the implementation of their most ambitious plans. The general noted that WAT is the largest military college in the country and 1 of the leading universities in Poland, and that its graduates are the highest commanders in the Armed Forces of Poland, as well as prominent experts in military technology. “Today you are at the beginning of this road, but I warrant you, by defeating further steps, you will proceed this trend and tradition. WAT is the forge of the best staff for the Polish army and economy" - the Rector said.
Rector-Commander WAT besides referred to the intensive expansion of the Polish army, in which military universities are active by expanding the limits of admissions for studies and expanding their teaching and training potential. "A modern and strong army, reinforced by global alliances, is the basis for a strategy to deter a possible aggressor. Recently, we have all seen that the war beyond our east border is besides our case. The invasion of Polish airspace has shown us all that we must be constantly ready to defy the threat. Only the strong and well prepared can look forward with courage," said Brig. Gen. Prof. Przemysław Wachulak.
The Rector besides pointed out the thorough modernisation of the University as part of the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces in fresh years on a large scale. "In investing in the Military method Academy, in modern infrastructure, laboratories and training base, we invest in Polish soldier and in our common security," said Brig. Gen. Prof. Przemysław Wachulak. He thanked the Ministry of Defence for their large support.
During the ceremony, the sub-chapters repeated the title of a military oath following the Rector-Commander WAT. The 4 distinguished subjects received the honour of taking an oath to the Military flag of the method Academy – these are the ranks of the following subjects: Octavian Pakulski, Kacper Jaciubek, Viktor Nolas and Mateusz Dziedzic.

Director of the Department of Military Education of MON Jakub Mykowski presented honors for his exemplary soldierly attitude and obtaining very good marks during basic military training. The winners were: Kacper Rogulski, Jakub Żurak, Daniel Lipiński, Kacper Cucumber, Jakub Chajduk, Mikołaj Nowak and Piotr Żebrowski. The distinguished parents received thanks from the Rector-Commander.
In the name of the recently sworn soldiers, the flea spoke. Jakub Bedkowski. "We are pleased to be able to survey in specified a well-deserved and widely respected military college. The Podchorzyżes sang “Rota” and the Representation Song of the Polish Army “We, the First Brigade”. At the end, there was a detachment defilada. The commander of the ceremony was Colonel Gregory of Italy. The commander of the banner post was Lieutenant Alexander Wędzonka.
During the ceremony there was a historical subdivision from the 2nd Military method Academy School Battalion under Lieutenant Kamil Puławy. There was besides a demonstration of the parade drill performed by the 4th School Battalion commanded by Deputy Prime Minister Albert Kozłowski.
Students accepted for military studies in the academic year 2025/2026 will begin military service on the basis of the principles introduced by the Homeland Defence Act. Education in the first year of survey will be carried out as soldiers of voluntary essential military service, and from the second year they will gain the position of professional soldiers.
