The wages for professional soldiers shall be determined by multiplying the base amount by a circumstantial indicator. Increases received by the military, consequence from the growth of 1 or the another element. This time, the indicator, set by the President's regulation and presently at 4.43, will stay unchanged. Another will be the base amount – according to the budget bill it will increase from PLN 2088.77 to PLN 2193.21 gross. This means that the average wage in the military will increase from PLN 9253 to PLN 9716 gross with annual award.

After the president signed Budget Law The decision to distribute money between individual soldiers belonged to Deputy Prime Minister and defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The MON so created a draft regulation on fresh basic wage rates. On Monday, the paper was published on the pages of the Government Legislative Centre. How will this translate into individual bodies? In the case of elder officers (from major to general) MON planned an increase of between 5.3% and 7.1%, i.e. from PLN 650 to PLN 1,100. This highest was assigned to the rank of general (the basic wage is to be PLN 22 1000 gross). The lieutenant generals will receive more than PLN 1000 and the division and brigade generals will receive more PLN 900 (the wage will scope from PLN 19 600 to PLN 15 1000 depending on the group to which the position is assigned).

The colonel's wage will emergence by 800 PLN and will emergence from 12,400 to 14,000 PLN and the lieutenant colonels by 700 PLN (10,700–11,600 PLN). The wage of majors in turn will increase by 650 PLN (pensions from 9750 to 10 250 PLN).

The salaries of junior officers will increase from 6.2% to 6.5%, and in practice each of them will receive an increase of PLN 550. Captains will gain PLN 9250 to PLN 9450, lieutenants from PLN 9050 to PLN 9150, and lieutenants from PLN 8950.

The elder officers of the MON offered to rise between 6.3% and 6.4%, which for all grades means an increase of PLN 500. The basic wage of the elder Staff Ensign will be PLN 8,500, the elder Ensign PLN 8,400 and the Ensign PLN 8,300. The wage of junior officers in turn will increase by 6.3% to 7.2%. Soldiers will receive an increase of PLN 500: e.g. the younger Ensign will receive PLN 7900, the platoon will receive PLN 7600 and the corporal will receive PLN 7400.

Soldiers of the professional corps will receive a wage higher than the current 1 by PLN 400 (from 6.2% to 6.7%). The lowest wage in the military, which they receive to the ranks, will increase from PLN 6000 to PLN 6400.

The draft regulation went into interministerial arrangements. The salaries at the fresh rates are to be paid in March, with a levelling as of January. A higher wage will besides increase the benefits received by professional soldiers for long - word military service.

In 2024, professional military salaries increased from 15.2% to about 25.4%, i.e. from PLN 1040 to PLN 2750 in relation to salaries in force from March 1, 2023. In 2023 the increase in turn amounted to PLN 400 gross and was the same for each, regardless of the degree.

As the Ministry of Defence argues, the proposals for fresh salaries are due to the request for appropriate differentiation of rates, which are to take into account, inter alia, the rank of the post occupied by the soldier, the scope of the duties performed, the liability incurred and the required qualifications. – In addition, we want to counter the phenomenon of the alleged flattening of the paytable by expanding the differences between the rates, in peculiar between individual staff bodies. besides tiny differences do not supply a adequate incentive in the form of financial gratification, which would stimulate soldiers to further develop, improve their qualifications and take up higher service posts associated with greater responsibility, as explained by representatives of the MON.
