On the adoption by the government of the amendment of the Defence of Homeland Act, on the fact that Poland is counting on over 120 billion PLN from the EU programme "ReArm Europe" and what is lacking for Polish defence manufacture to make exportally, said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish at a press conference on the occasion of Defence24 Days.
One of the events accompanying the Defence24 Days conference is an exhibition of military equipment, which the Ministry of National Defence organised on the membranes of PGE Stadium. “We want to advance Polish military equipment in particular, the private 1 and the 1 produced by the Polish Armed Forces Group, so I am pleased with this exhibition organized for the first time,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the beginning of the exhibition. As he added, he would like the military equipment exhibition to be even bigger next year.
At the accompanying beginning of the press conference, he answered, among others, the question of what was missing, so that the Polish arms manufacture was competitive in global markets. The head of the MON stated that these were mainly production capacities. – We are limited by the timeliness of deliveries and production scale. present Poland is the main recipient of the Polish arms industry, due to the fact that the scale of production does not even guarantee that our needs are met," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
As he said, abroad contractors are curious in Polish products, e.g. on Monday the Minister of defence of Denmark will sign a contract in Mesk to acquisition Lightning. – However, erstwhile we talk about transportation time and production speed, the competition precedes us. That is why we request fresh production lines, and we request to aid in this. Act on Key and strategical Investments in the Arms Industry, simplifying procedures or introducing a deregulation strategy – mentioned Kosiniak-Kamish.
Deputy Prime Minister besides mentioned ReArm Europe. “We are working on this fresh EU task to finance the acquisition for our armed forces and Poland is counting on over PLN 120 billion from the pool of this fresh initiative,” said the head of the MON.
According to the Minister, in the first year of operation of the EU project, individual arms purchases will be peculiarly important, but Community purchases will be promoted in the following years, which is why we are already looking for partners for us. “I have discussed this with the ministers of Lithuania and Croatia, and we are besides working with another Baltic and Scandinavian countries. We want the PGZ Group and another private groups to be able to make consortia together with another countries," said Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The Deputy Prime Minister besides informed that the government had adopted an amendment to the Law on the Defence of the Motherland, which will now enter Parliament. He said that it dealt with many issues concerning, among others, the quality of service. Among changes, the head of the MON mentioned, for example, issues concerning training outside Poland and the anticipation of staying there with his household or regulating care for dogs and horses serving in the Polish army. The changes besides concern, among others, compensations for injuries and injuries, the anticipation of faster promotion to the corps of enlisted officers and improvement of the intellectual investigation system.
The exhibition of military equipment on PGE National membranes presents, among others, K2, M1A1 Abrams, Leopard 2PL, Poprad, BWP Borsuk, Krab and K9, lobster-K and lobster-A rocket kits. The exhibition is open to all and will last until 7 May until 7:00 p.m.
