The Russians dismantled reliefs presenting Polish military awards in Katyń Cemetery, including the Virtuti Militari Order and the Emigration Cross of the September Campaign. The decision in July was made by the prosecutors at the request of the Smolensk Communist organization of the Russian Federation (KPRF). On Wednesday, the authoritative website of the administration of the complex in Katyń revealed that the resolution was made. There are 4421 prisoners murdered by the Soviets in the cemetery in 1940.
