On a cold January day, we met in front of the Monument of the Non-violent Soldiers to celebrate the first time this year the memory of the victims of the Smolensk tragedy, in which the president of Poland Lech Kaczyński and 96 people of the Polish delegation died to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn crime.
Together with the president of the Polish Dzierżoniów II paper Club Stefan Grefling and ORP president Ireneusz Wagnerski, representatives of the club and association, they celebrated the memory of the Victims of the Smolenska Tragedy. We prayed for the dead. We lit candles in front of the Monument of the Cursed Soldiers on the Lt. Lukasz Ciepliński Square.
On 10 April 2010, at 8.46 Polish time, an unprecedented catastrophe occurred in our history. close the destination of the flight - Smolensk Siewierna Airport - in the fog in unexplained circumstances the Tu-154M aircraft, belonging to the 36th peculiar Transport Regiment, crashed. The plane was carrying a Polish delegation, led by the president of the Republic, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn crime. 96 people were killed in the crash - all on board.
