lawyer General Waldemar Żurek – hope or illusion?
The appearance of Waldemar Żurek as lawyer General for many is simply a symbol of the chance to reconstruct the regulation of law in Poland. In my opinion, it's a burning hope.
1. Blockage of statutory changes
Let us forget the statutory reforms of the judiciary and the Constitutional Court. Nawrocks will block everything.
2. Law and Justice – Fiction
For the demolition of the regulation of law, nepotism, the usage of public money in an election run or average corruption, no 1 will truly answer.
• The D.A.'s office is mostly ziobrists. Those who are not, look at the calendar anyway: in 2.5 years Ziobro can return. Then any “too brave” prosecutor will land in Bieszczady.
• And even if individual dares to press charges against the Law and Justice and press charges – if he goes to the neo-Judge, there is no case, and if he goes to a legal judge, he will remember that his career depends on Nawrocki. And the conviction will be known.
3. For example, the Pegasus case – undisclosed
Żurek could make public information about surveillance without the approval of the court or the Navrocki Pegasus affair. The D.A. and the CBA admitted to 2628 people under surveillance.
Journalists say it is the tip of the iceberg – opposition politicians, judges, prosecutors, businessmen, NGO activists, doctors and journalists whose names could shake public opinion were among the eavesdropped.
The PiS created a strategy of full control, eavesdropping on anyone who could endanger him.
The beetle should reveal:
• who was the target,
• who gave instructions,
• who turned a blind eye,
• who utilized illegally obtained information.
But will this origin a political earthquake? I uncertainty it. The society has already “acquainted” the thought that the PiS was listening to its opponents.
4. Indifference limit
Kaczyński knows the psychology of the crowd. He knows there's a limit to what people don't respond to.
Journalists have already counted 1,300 PiS and Sovereign Poland scandals. How many of them can you read with understanding? I dropped out after 30.
Summary
The beetle may have good intentions. But the strategy that Ziobro created is immune to intent. It's like armor. And we – tired of scandals – begin to be part of the problem ourselves.
