Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro announced after the end of the extraordinary summit of European Union leaders in Brussels that the troops of this country could be part of an international, peaceful continent that would appear in Ukraine. These announcements were adopted as a good card and a sign of solidarity between EU leaders and Kiev. For Portugal, however, this would be a symbolic presence, as the country itself does not have a very large army.
