Poles pointed out the best first lady. Surprise in second place!

Which presidential wife was the best in the past of the 3rd Republic? Most Poles believe that as a first woman the wife of Aleksandr Kwasniewski – Jolanta Kwasniewska, did the best. Surprisingly, in the same survey now, after just over 3 months of the presidency of Karol Nawrocki, there was the present first woman Marta Nawrocka.

The Polish National investigation Panel Ariadne asked Poles at the request of “Virtual Poland”, which the first woman in their opinion was the best in the 3rd Poland. According to the study, the long-term favourite is inactive undefeated. With an indication of 55% of respondents in the survey, Jolanta Kwasniewska, the spouse of erstwhile president Alexander Kwasniewski, was victorious. Kwasniewska served as the first woman with her husband for a decade – from 1995 to 2005.

The second place was not Anna Komorowska, Maria Kaczyńska, Danuta Wałęsa, or even Agata Kornhauser-Duda. The second favourite first woman of Poles is... Marta Nawrocka – presently holding this typical function. Karol Nawrocki's wife managed to gain sympathy for a large part of Poles, obtaining 18 percent of the indications.

In 3rd place, she died tragically in a disaster in Smolensk Maria Kaczyńska. The wife of late Lech Kaczyński – the president of Poland in 2005-2010 indicated 12 percent of respondents.

President Andrzej Duda, who resigned a fewer months ago, took 4th place with the consequence of 8% of the indications. She was followed by the wife of Lech Wałęsa – president of Poland from 1990 to 1995 – Danut Wałęsa (4 percent of the indications).

At the last place and at the same time the least popular first woman (3 percent of the indications) is Anna Komorowska, married to Bronisław Komorowski, who served as the president of Poland from 2010 to 2015.

The survey was conducted through the Ariadne National investigation Panel for Virtual Poland on 13-14 November 2025 by the CAWI method, on a example of 1050 adults.
