We are developing the defence of our cyberspace – the space that is the first mark of the attack – said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish at the ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement with the American Oracle company. It aims to increase safety of cloud solutions utilized by the military and accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence tools.
Oracle, an American company specializing in database management systems, and Component Command Cyberspace defence Forces have concluded a strategical cooperation agreement. “We want to be the best in the world, so we sign contracts with the best companies in the world,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Oracle is another leader in the IT industry, with which the Ministry of Defence has concluded specified a cooperation agreement. A fewer weeks ago the ministry reported closer cooperation with Microsoft.
The agreement implies cooperation in 3 areas. – First – exchange of information. We must act faster than our opponents. We request to know more, respond faster and learn more intensively than anyone else," said the head of the MON. The hotel besides wants to increase the safety of cloud infrastructure and its military data. The 3rd area is to be cooperation in developing and implementing artificial intelligence technologies. In 5 years without effective implementation of artificial intelligence, it is impossible to manage the battlefield, train soldiers or coordinate army logistics," said Minister Kosiniak-Kamish.
– This agreement allows us to build joint task forces, which on the 1 hand will exchange information on threats and on the other, make the cognition of our experts," he said. Maj. Gen. Karol Molenda. “From now on, our specialists will be able to freely exchange information on threats that can materialize in our systems, but besides effort to be in your (i.e. Oracle – ed.) technology,” added the commander of the Cyberspace defence Army.
