Soldiers 3 of the Podkarpackie OT Brigade during the “Fire Storm–25” exercise carry out 1 of the key tasks: the designation of culverts, bridges and railway crossings in the Mielec district. This is only 1 of the episodes that the territorialists with 3 PBOT execute as part of the largest “Iron Defender-25” exercise of this year.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, soldiers of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade conducted the next day during the "Fire Storm '25" exercise, which is part of the largest training task of the Polish SZ – "Iron Defender '25".
This time, actions focused on recognizing culverts, bridges and railway crossings in the Mielec district. Bombers with 3 PBOT conducted measurements and analyses, preparing to possibly block enemy troops' movement in an emergency situation.
The mark of the exercise? Enhancing the capacity to hold and securing key infrastructure. Bombers play an crucial function here – they measure what resources could be utilized to harm infrastructure in the event of an enemy attack. "These tasks require precision, good field orientation and cooperation of many sections. This is not only a test of equipment, but above all our preparation - emphasised Colonel Michał Małyska, commander of 3 PBOT.
It's just a drill – part of the "Fire Storm '25" maneuvers under the "Iron Defenders '25", but their goal is real: prepare for all script and effectively defend our territory.
