On Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the 10th Wrocław Communication Brigade the unique adventure “Holiday with the Army” ended. On that day, volunteers who had spent 4 weeks learning the basics of military craftsmanship made a solemn oath to the Brigade's banner, symbolically ending the different vacation turnus.
Some choose summertime by the sea, others in the mountains, and elves from the 10th Wrocław Communications Brigade spent them in uniform. 4 weeks alternatively of carefree rest, drill, shooting and iron discipline. All to feel the taste of a actual soldier in 4 intense weeks.
The culmination of this different vacation turnus was a ceremonial military oath. The commander of the 10th Wrocław Communications Brigade, Colonel Dariusz Pawelec, stressed in his speech the importance of this moment: “A military oath is the soldier’s highest commitment to the state and nation. By saying her words, you have become heirs of generations who have frequently shed blood in the name of the freedom and sovereignty of our country.”
In the name of young volunteers, the volume was taken. Martyna Truszkowska, who thanked families and staff: “Dear Parents! Thank you for your support, religion and understanding. We besides thank our superiors for the patience, professionalism and effort they have put into this vacation so that we can learn the basics of the soldier's craft.”
For the participants of the “Holiday with the Army” programme, the summertime of 2025 will surely be unique, full of effort, challenges and first soldier experiences. This is only the beginning of a winding road leading to professional military service. After the symbolic completion of the “vacation” of the elevations from the 10th Wrocław Communication Brigade, there is now an 11-month course of specialist training to gain professional cognition and open the door for promotions and careers in the Armed Forces of Poland.
