Why are we writing about this?

On Wednesday, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski, during his visit to Warsaw, met with Prime Minister Donald Tuski, president Andrzej Duda and candidate of the KO for president Rafał Trzaskowski. The issues raised were, among others, the presence of Western troops in Ukraine after the end of the war, the exhumation of victims of the Volyn massacre or Polish support for the fighting Ukraine.

What did Michał Dworczyk say?

Zełenski's visit to Poland was commented by the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister during the United Right Government Michał Dworczyk. “It is good that Poland and Ukraine cooperate, but unfortunately the visit of Volodymyr Zelenski to Warsaw brought no breakthrough. I think we lost our chance to build a peculiar relation between Poland and Ukraine after 2022," said the politician.

What do experts say about Zelenski's visit?

"If only the public statements of the president of Ukraine in Warsaw were to be heard, it would be hard to realize why he came to Poland. But most likely behind the scenes, there were completely different conversations. If so, with his public contributions – especially in the case of the Volyn massacre – Zelenski surely did not aid the Ukrainian cause," wrote onetu war correspondent Marcin Wyrwa.
