The anniversary celebrations for independency will begin on Tuesday morning. Representatives of the state authorities, headed by the president, will lay wreaths before the monuments of the independency Fathers in Warsaw: Wincent Witos, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Ignacy Daszyński, Roman Dmowski, Wojciech Korfanty and Józef Piłsudski.

Then the presidential couple Karol and Marta Nawrocka, as well as the national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, will participate in mass for their homeland, which will be celebrated in the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw.

Celebrations at the Presidential Palace and Piłsudski Square

In the Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki will traditionally present state decorations; during this ceremony the head of state is planned to speak.

At noon, representatives of the highest state authorities, with the president and his wife at the head, will take part in a solemn briefing before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Pilsudski Square.

The National independency Day commemorates the transfer by the REGC of the command of the Polish troops to Józef Piłsudski that day in 1918.
