Marcin Bogdan: Who is hurt by the Polish Crown

In 1966 we celebrated the Millennium Baptism of Poland (Sacrum Poloniae Millenium). A 1000 years since the baptism of the Prince Lives I, since the baptism, which is recognized as the beginning of the Polish state. That is why this anniversary was so emotional at the time, due to the fact that it had both a spiritual and a state dimension. And yet in communist People's Poland, under russian Russia, the Church was combated, so the spiritual dimension of any celebration, and even more crucial than the Millennium, could not be accepted or tolerated by the authorities. The Church prepared the faithful for the Millennium celebrations through the Polish Primate, Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński Wielki Noweenna, and the central celebrations, attended by about 200,000 believers, were held on 3 May in Jasna Góra. Communist authorities refused Pope Paul VI entry into Poland. His place symbolically took the image of Our woman of Czestochowa set on an empty papal throne.

The communist authorities organised alternate secular celebrations. The central celebrations of the Millennium of the Polish State were held on 22 July, which was expected to prove that the Polish People's Republic is the rightful continuation of the thousand-year past of Polish statehood. Propaganda actions, specified as “a 1000 schools per millennium”, were besides announced, which proved emphatically that the communist power could not afford to ignore the uncomfortable subject of the Millennium, given the creative attitude of the Church. It was an unquestionable success of both the Church and the patriotic one, having respect for history, part of Polish society.

This year 2025 we celebrate the Millennium of Coronation of the first Polish King Bolesław Chrobry. any believe that the anniversary of the Coronation is the anniversary of the lesser rank than the Millennium of the Baptism of Poland, that the Coronation of Bolesław Chrobry was a natural consequence of the Baptism of his father. Others believe that the anniversary of the Coronation is just as important, possibly even more important, than the anniversary of Baptism. For the Polish statehood between Baptism and Coronation there was specified a difference as for the average man there is simply a difference between Being and being somebody. Poland without the King, Poland without the Crown, would be an easy prey to join, absorb and assimilate by any neighboring kingdom or empire. Poland as a Kingdom was individual to be reckoned with, individual to effort to conquer, to own, but only in combat, in a fight equal against equal.

Poland as the Kingdom, as the Crown, was a broader concept than the Polish statehood. The crown connected people not so much under the name of Polishness, but around Polishness. Over the years and centuries there have been many people who were not Poles by birth, who respected Polishness, but did not necessarily feel Poles, people who identified with the Crown, identified with the Polish Kingdom. Poland as the Kingdom was something, could enter alliances, contain a individual union, could make specified a union as the Republic of Both Nations. After the coronation Poland was not only someone, but she was someone.

Therefore, the anniversary of the Millennium Coronation should be a large celebration for Poles, it should be celebrated solemnly throughout the country. The king was “the Anointed of God,” anointed as a sign that he was chosen by God. Therefore, the Millennium of the Coronation should be a large vacation both spiritual and state. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church in Poland, without expressive leadership, did not meet this task. The main celebrations and celebrations were a bottom-up, social initiative. State authorities, like in communist People's Poland, besides avoided the subject, stalled, waited. The fact that Poland was someone, that it could be someone, that it should be someone, is “outside the scale” of the current government, beyond the scale of their ideas, skills, ambitions and capabilities.

However, seeing the immense social commitment to the worthy celebrations of the Millennium Coronation, the authorities were under force and convened the National Assembly, that is, a joint gathering of the Sejm and the Senate, held on 25 April 2025 in Gniezno, in the first capital of Poland. During the Assembly, the speech was given by Marshal of the legislature of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. In her speech, she said: “I want to remind the King's parent tonight Lives I, EminandaIt’s okay. ” Emnilda is an old Germanic name, not utilized present in Poland. So you can slip over even by reading a card. But Emnilda Slavina was not the parent of Lives I, but the daughter-in-law. She was the 3rd wife of the first Polish King Bolesław Chrobry. Clearly, then, Mieszko I, the father of Bolesław Chrobry, could not be king, was a prince. There can no longer be speech about a slip of the tongue, it should be known by all Pole, especially by the politician, who reads the card.

Social force was so strong that candidates for the Polish President's Office besides appealed to the issue of the beginning of the Polish state and its further history. During the Malbork rally, Rafał Trzaskowski said: “There is no way not to remind this communicative here in Malbork, no way not to remind this communicative near the Jagiello monument, namely the conflict of GrunwaldIt’s okay. ” Only that in Malbork there is simply a monument to Kazimierz Jagiellończyk and not Władysław Jagiełła and commemorates the 13th summertime war and the capture of Malbork by Polish troops alternatively than the conflict of Grunwald. But Trzaskowski went on to say: “Not long ago we celebrated the millennium of Bolesław Chrobry's coronation in Gniezno. And remember, that's erstwhile it's symbolic. Boleslaw Chrobry united various Polish tribes, and then the Polish nation was born symbolically, our community was born”. Only that the Polan tribes united Prince Mieszko and not King Bolesław Chrobry.

The MP, Senator, Prime Minister, President, should all have many qualities, should feel a vocation to service for the Common Good. But erstwhile moving for these offices, they should first know which country they want to be, Senator, Prime Minister or President. It's an absolute minimum of requirements and expectations. specified people as Kidawa-Błońska, Tusk or Trzaskowski do not feel the spirit of Polishness, do not realize the spirit of Polishness, do not identify with the spirit of Polishness, do not want to learn or even respect Polishness, so that reading the card does not confuse basic facts from Polish history. They do not meet absolute minimum requirements and expectations.

Therefore, in the upcoming elections for the Office of the president of Poland, I will vote for Karol Nawrocki.

And to my people I appeal for reason and reason. We don't choose Miss or Mister elegance or the right mots. We choose the future for Poland, for us, for our children and grandchildren, for future generations. And bad choices can be irreversible, irreversible over the years.
