In the Clinic of General and Oncological Surgery 5 Military Clinical infirmary with Polyclinic in Kraków, the latest generation equipment has been installed for respective days: angiograph and surgical robot Da Vinci model XI. Angiograf provides exceptional efficiency of interventional cardiology and vascular treatments. This device will enable not only three-dimensional imaging of vascular structures, but besides the usage of data from another studies and the combination of them with the image displayed. In this way, doctors will receive full information about the patient, which will let them to execute even the most complicated procedures effectively and quickly. The fresh angiographic laboratory will be part of the heart-vascular intervention centre in the hospital. In turn the da Vinci robot is the latest, 4th generation robotic surgical strategy providing a advanced standard of minimally invasive treatments.
– The da Vinci surgical robot will service the Polish Army and residents of Małopolska and the full country, who will come here for the most precise operations. And Kraków is not the only centre to get the da Vinci robot in the coming days. Additionally, military hospitals in Wrocław, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz. Military Medical Institute in Warsaw can already boast of this equipment and operations carried out with its participation, it is besides available in Lublin. The head of the Ministry of Defence admitted that the cost of implementing the robotics program in the Military wellness Service was about PLN 55 million. – The grant for the Kraków infirmary alone is about PLN 15 million. Kraków will play a very crucial function in the recently created Medical Army Composition.
