Krasko couldn't take it from Nawrocki at the rally. It was about historical holiness

TVN24 writer Piotr Kraśko powerfully criticized Karol Nawrocki's speech at the Friday election rally. The point is that the president of IPN mentioned Monte Cassino in a alternatively narcissistic way as a metaphor for his election campaign.

– With all due respect to the candidate (...), but I would truly not compare riding in Poland as part of an election run – in free Poland, in 2025 – to the conflict of Monte Cassino – he told the audience on Friday evening Piotr Kraśko, indicating that he was alone at the site of the battle, where 50,000 soldiers of different nationalities died.

The conflict of Monte Cassino, considered to be 1 of the most fierce and groundbreaking operations of planet War II, was the 4th Allied army attack on German positions defending the Benedictine monastery on the Italian hill.

The triumph won by the 2nd Polish Corps under General Anders allowed the strong line of Gustav to be broken and opened the way for the Allies to Rome, contributing to the further march to the north of Italy.
