On Friday, a storm broke out on the network after it was revealed that beneficiaries were buying yachts from the Union for money.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk took a position on irregularities related to the payment of money from National Recovery Plan and announced an intervention in this case. "We put besides much effort into unlocking them to let anyone to waste. Anyone who made mistakes will endure (or has already suffered) consequences" - wrote the politician.
KPO is simply a programme aimed at rebuilding the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Last April, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz announced that the first deposits had already been received by entrepreneurs. "We already have funds in Poland - so we are accelerating with investments" - she announced.
Friday morning, a map of the places that came in for the funds was published on the network. However, at the time, the public was shocked by information about irregularities related to withdrawals of KPO money. It is about billions of euros, which were spent on controversial investments of Polish entrepreneurs.
