On its channel, a post appeared on the Telegram that “frontalists talked to children about the importance of education, the themes of love and homeland, shared their life experience and views, and wished to always keep the grin and spirit of the fight.” Photos of “war heroes” are included in the entry.
Among the militants who came to school to talk to students, there was, among others, Evgeny Raskazov, besides known as Topaz.
It comes from Makiejewa, but after 2014 events moved to Moscow. He openly proclaims Nazi beliefs and does not hide his sadistic tendencies — although he has late tried to build a fresh image, and even speaks to school - age children. Still, he has a dark past.
According to the findings of Medusa Topaz, Diversive-storm investigation group Rusich by the ad he saw online. 10 years ago, he fought in southeastern Ukraine and returned there in February 2022.
Sadistic Trends
Raskazov, like another members of Rusicz, is not ashamed to wear, among others, symbols of the “deadhead” (it was the emblem of the 3rd SS Armoured Division) and in the company of far-right bloggers to tell stories about “neomarksists” with whom the Russian army fights in Ukraine. Together with his colleagues in the Rusicz group, he became celebrated for telling publically about his atrocities. “I have come now to kill Ukrainians,” he said in plain conversation with blogger Evgeny Dołganov of the Russian Styg channel on YouTube. He then called for the castration of prisoners of war:
— I told them they'd be castrated. I've seen dozens of specified films with the approval of operators, specified films are usually published a year, 2 years after the events, so that military supervisory structures can be more hard to identify the perpetrator," Topaz said.
He besides admitted that he felt sexual excitement erstwhile committing murder.
— erstwhile you kill a pig — everyone understands who I call a pig — you savor that his wife is simply a widow, you savor that he cries with his full family, that he will come home in a coffin. An erection appears, he said.
In his interviews and published entries Topaz openly describes himself as a sadist.
— You think Rusich is sadistic? possibly it is. If you call sadism the demolition of angry scum in the name of saving our cities from them and preventing specified dates as today, then I am a sadist and arrogant of it. And I will rise my children to be sadistic, and they will rise my grandchildren,” he said in the interview.
Sudden ‘change’
For the last fewer years, however, Topaz has tried hard to “purify”. To this end, he left the Rusich group and joined the Espaniola brigade, whose members had so far not been contaminated by sadistic episodes. But they are completely loyal to the Kremlin.
Of course, Espaniola fighters are not just mercenaries. The unit consists of erstwhile kibols and people with utmost right views. The squad is commanded by Stanisław “Spanish” Orlov from the CSKA Red-Blue Warriors fan group. Members of Espaniola repeatedly appeared with Nazi symbols: swastikas and emblems of SS units.
Some interviewed Evgeny Dołganov, mentioned above, in which they described their extremist views in detail. The militants of this group are considered Nazis even in the leadership of national football clubs — in July 2024 Zenitus asked fans to remove the group's flag from the stands.
In addition to changing the Raskazov group, he abruptly decided to become an activist for “human rights” and philanthropist. In July 2023, he launched the Topaz project, which raises money to aid children:
“I did not anticipate that in the hearts of my audience there was not only a righteous anger directed at the enemy, but besides a desire for actual and pure good,” he wrote on Telegram.
In an interview with “Fontanka” in September 2023 he had already appeared as “a erstwhile Rusich warrior”. He assured me he wasn't going to fight anymore. He said he would alternatively lead an alternate task whose volunteers are fighting modern slavery. A year later, he started promoting “Alternative friends” — a task that provides intellectual advice to soldiers who suffered trauma.
‘Like a chaotic animal’
However, the dark past and sadistic tendencies do not leave him alone. More reports have late reached the network. On the evening of February 26, just a fewer days after a gathering with the students, writer Oleg Kaszin pointed out that 1 of the anonymous channels on the Telegram featured a video in which Topaz (according to Kaszin) tells about how he raped a Ukrainian girl.
A man with a voice resembling Raskazov spoke in a material about how, proposed Ukraine, allegedly in captivity, to call her boyfriend. He told her that if she confirmed that she was actually waiting for her return, Topaz “will guarantee that the girl is sent home”. They merged on video — a man threatened to kill a girl and rape her. He then “lost compassion for her” and began beating her.
— I started hitting her like a chaotic animal with a gun. I've never had anything like it. As a rule, I'm a calm and kind person. And here's her face — a crushed skull. I got excited right away. I found that erstwhile in my life you could afford specified a thing,” said a man on a video. He added that he raped a female after that.
Kaszin notes that Topaz has long been known as “a sadist, pervert and maniac from the Z environment (This letter is simply a symbol of Russian business of Ukraine)’, so it can be assumed that he is the man in the video. Topaz himself did not mention to these reports.
