RECLAMA

Starlinki is simply a product of the company SpaceX owned by multibillionaire Elona Muska. The essence of the strategy is tiny satellites placed in low Earth orbit. According to data provided by SpaceX at the end of February 2025, 7946 satellites were launched into orbit, of which 6751 is active. Mobile terminals with case dimensions are utilized to connect to them.

Initially, Starlinks were expected to supply broadband net services to hard-to-access places of the globe where no 1 was tempted to place fibre optic cables. The biggest user of the strategy present is Ukraine, especially in areas where telecommunications infrastructure (including masts and fibre optics) has been destroyed. The mobile net is utilized by Ukrainian administration and civilians, but this military application is the most common. Starlinks are utilized to exchange data between units. They allow, for example, to send coordinates from drone operators to artillerymen.

They supply full coverage via the net of Ukraine. Their military usage was made public in the spring of 2022 by the Azowstal defenders. Mariupolski garrison contacted the planet until the end of the fight thanks to the old terminal.

SpaceX infrastructure was besides a large support for civilians. Ukrainian authorities could pilot refugees remotely, providing them with the essential travel tips at a given stage. No payment of benefits was suspended, residents of circumstantial localities were kept informed of threats of artillery fire or bombing. Digital maps of shelters, inactive updated lists of existing shops, petrol stations, aid points, etc. – all of this besides worked thanks to Starlinks.

They have become the subject of a nerve game between Ukraine and the United States. In early March Elon Musk wrote on the X portal, which he besides owns, that if he shut down the Starlink system, the front would break down and Ukraine would lose the war. Musk is presently an influential typical of president Donald Trump's administration. These words were so taken as blackmail, which was to force Kiev to accept the terms of the then negotiated contract of natural materials. The owner of SpaceX swore that he had no specified intentions, while the Ukrainian army declared that he would do something if the disconnect happened. She besides pointed out that in the Kursk Oblast in Russia, Starlinek never worked, and that it did not halt Ukrainian impact. It's hard to know if that's what it would be like. However, it is known that Kiev is seriously looking for an alternate to the Starlins. The most advanced strategy has a French-British operator Eutelsat.
