The massive usage of low-cost, but technologically advanced, high-tech reconnaissance and impact drones is intended to enable Europeans to safe NATO's east flank without utilizing a large number of large formations and to halt Russia from possible aggression in the Baltic countries," says the article.

However, as the author notes, this plan has many drawbacks, specified as fast advancement in the manufacture and a large number of possible remedies. In particular, he stressed the surprise effect remains, despite the control of the battlefield utilizing unmanned reconnaissance ships.

On 19 March, the European Commission presented a fresh defence strategy "Re-arming Europe", which envisages spending any EUR 800 billion over the next 4 years to strengthen the defence of European countries and pump arms into Ukraine. The strategy was later renamed little aggressive "Readiness 2030" due to protests by any EU members.

Most of the 800 billion (about 650 billion) are to come from the budgets of European countries, another 150 billion — in the form of loans. The European Commission will grant EU countries budgetary loosening and channel the funds foreseen for regional improvement into military spending. In line with the 2030 Goal, EU defence spending should increase by 1 and a half percent of GDP.

In fresh years Russia has repeatedly expressed concern over the unprecedented activity of NATO close western borders under the pretext of deterring imaginary Russian aggression. The Kremlin pointed out that Moscow was not threatening anyone, but would not ignore actions possibly dangerous to its interests.
