German defence minister Boris Pistorius said that he did not exclude German soldiers' engagement in securing a possible demilitarized region in Ukraine after the ceasefire. In an interview with Suddeutsche Zeitung Boris Pistorius, he besides said that Germany should strive to spend about 3% of GDP on defence.
