– We all know the importance of the moment. We all know what has been happening in the planet around the Russian-Ukrainian War for respective weeks, around the transatlantic relationship, the situation in Europe," said the Prime Minister.
– We have quite a few reasons to be very focused today, so that present and in the close future we can talk about Poland's security, about war and peace in focus and without instrumental treatment in interior political matters," said Tusk.

– This is very crucial due to the fact that it is 1 of our assets, that regardless of the emotion in the parliament or during the campaign. There is no uncertainty that there has been a consensus in Poland on fundamental issues for the safety of the Republic of Poland for many years, actually decades," he added.
However, the Prime Minister pointed out that "there are more and more clear voices in Europe, in the US, besides in Poland, which may violate this consensus, voices that, for example, in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian War are favoring Putin and Russian narrative". – But it is inactive in the Western planet and surely in Poland there is simply a political margin – he said.
Tusk: The safety of Poland and Europe depends on it

He added that "we are facing a deep correction" of the U.S. war policy in Ukraine. “We must not be offended by reality,” he said. He stressed that a "clear assessment of the situation" was crucial for "Poland to participate actively in this". “Our attitude to the transatlantic and NATO relations must stay unquestionable,” said Tusk.
In presenting information on the global situation and safety of the country, the head of the government said that Poland "does not change its opinion on the fundamental request to keep the closest links with the United States and the North Atlantic Pact".
As he pointed out, 1 must besides “see what is happening at the moment”. He added that the revision of the US policy "is primarily about changing attitudes towards 2 fighting parties in Ukraine – Ukraine and Russia".

Prime Minister: The situation of Poland is more hard than a fewer months ago
The head of government during his speech in the Sejm indicated that our safety is straight related not only to events at the front but besides to the future position of Ukraine.
