Controversy around the presidential debate: PiS MPs search answers

Following the presidential debate held in Koński, MPs of Law and Justice (PiS) decided to launch parliamentary scrutiny at the TVP headquarters. Their aim is to find who covered the costs of organising this debate. Mariusz Błaszczak, head of the PiS parliamentary club, announced that on Monday the MPs of his organization would carry out checks on TVP in order to find out whether the costs of the debate were covered by the election committee of the Citizen Coalition candidate (KO) for President, Rafał Trzaskowski.

The debate in Koński was organised by TVP, TVN and Polsat, as well as by tv Republic, which organised its own debate on the local market. PiS MPs want to see the invoices that TVP issued to the electoral committee of Rafał Trzaskowski to find whether the Polish payer financed the debate.
