The Medical Army Command will integrate military wellness care and guarantee its cooperation with the civilian system," said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the celebration of the appointment of medical troops and their command. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the improvement is simply a consequence to both the fresh threats to the ongoing armed conflict over our east border and to natural disasters specified as last year's flood. The formation is to benefit from the experience of fighting in Ukraine.

"Medical troops will be the liaison between all military wellness units, but besides between civilian wellness services," stressed the Minister.
At the head of the fresh formation, Colonel Mariusz Kiszek, so far Deputy Chief of Medical Affairs of the 4th Military Clinical infirmary with Poliklinika SPOZ in Wrocław. As the Deputy Prime Minister explained, the officer proved himself in the course of last year's flood in Lower Silesia, erstwhile he arranged urgent medical safety for the infirmary in Nysa. “Now he will be liable for forming a fresh component, for formulating a strategy and action for the safety of the Polish state connected with cooperation between the civilian sector and the lead function of the Military wellness Service,” Kosiniak-Kamish said.
The office of the Medical Army Command will be Kraków. During the conference, Deputy Prime Minister besides encouraged representatives of the medical professions, including doctors, nurses and paramedics, to join the fresh Medical Legion. “MED-Legion will group your skills, but besides give you a chance to train in an area where you may not be specialists, and which is worth knowing, that is, actions related to the medicine of disasters”, explained Kosiniak-Kamish.
He added that the courses that doctors can take in the fresh Legion are usually very expensive. “We will effort to guarantee that all those who apply to the Medical Legion can do so at the expense of the state, due to the fact that you will gain the skills that you will anticipate from you in hard circumstances,” argued the head of the MON.
MED-Legion is modelled on the already created Cyber Legions. As the minister stressed, members of the fresh Legion do not gotta become soldiers. “Some may decide to join the army, and any may stay ready,” said the Deputy Prime Minister. On the another hand, Colonel Robert G Regreski, Deputy manager of the Military wellness Service Department, pointed out that the Medical Army Command would integrate the military wellness effort and strengthen the effects of its action on the battlefield.
