Is it possible to change the pension payment deadline permanently?
Although the August changes arise from the calendar, the Social Insurance Institution besides allows for a permanent change of the payment deadline at the request of the recipient. This is possible in justified cases, most frequently linked to crucial financial commitments. For example, if the standard payment deadline interferes with the repayment date of the loan, rent fees or the request to buy costly medicines, it can be proposed to modify it.
To do this, you must:
- Download and complete the corresponding form available on the ZUS website or at the office.
- The application shall be accompanied by papers which confirm and justify the request for a change (e.g. credit agreement, reimbursement schedule, treatment invoices).
- Complete application in the ZUS branch. The Office shall have 30 days to examine the case and to issue a decision.
