Territorial Defence Brigades are active in the protection of railway infrastructure throughout the country. About 400 territorials conduct search of tracks, embankments, bridges and culverts, as well as controlling the most crucial nodes and railway sections. The activities are related to a series of acts of diversion, including blowing up a fragment of the track on the Warsaw- Lublin railway line.

Soldiers of territorial defence troops were assigned to aid police and Railway Guards on Sunday.
"We increase the engagement of the Territorials in supporting the Railway defender in patrolling railway lines in east Poland. (...) We conduct coordinated actions with 2 Lublin BOT, especially with the 25th Light Infantry Battalion from Zamość. The military will check the section about 120 km (at the railway traction), moving to the border in Hrubieszów" – wrote yesterday on platform X Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence.
He added that peculiar attention would be paid to delicate elements of infrastructure: bridges, viaducts, tunnels, stations, switches or railway traffic control devices. "War Territorial defence will usage unmanned aircraft during patrols, and from next day the action will be supported by a helicopter," said the head of MON-.
Today, all OT brigades are active in strengthening the physical protection of railway infrastructure across the country. – Around 400 territorials in 80 places conducts track search, embankments, bridges and culverts, as well as controls the most crucial nodes and delicate railway sections. The head of the MON present in the broadcast "Guest of Radio ZET" recalled that the Military Counterintelligence Service and the Military Gendarmeria had long supported another services in securing railway infrastructure. He besides added that the territorial defence troops had moved forward in connection with fresh events and with the request to affect more forces and resources.
After talking to General Wiesław Kukuła, Head of the General Staff of the Polish Army, the Minister of Defence put the task of preparing a comprehensive support action for civilian services. "If this is necessary, and the Ministry of abroad Affairs will make a request, the military is ready to support the Railway Protection Service very powerfully in patrolling, controlling not only railway infrastructure," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Kosiniak-Kamysz besides mentioned that in support of civilian services, the military conducts field reconnaissance with the usage of drones, monitoring systems, optoelectronics, helicopters. "This is happening in all the Natov countries, in which the military is heavy active in extra-military activities, and the WOT is especially called upon to do so. According to the Act, at the request of the voivods, the Minister is launching territorial defence troops," the head of the Ministry of Defence stressed.
