The president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski proposed building a common air shield with European partners during the Warsaw safety Forum. "Ukraine proposes Poland and all our partners to build a common, full reliable shield against Russian air threats" - said the Ukrainian leader.

Zelenski argued that implementation of this task is possible thanks to Ukrainian combat experiences. "Ukraine can fight all types of Russian drones and rockets, and if we work together in the region, we will have adequate weapons and adequate production capabilities" - he argued.

Trump policy change

When asked about US president Donald Trump's policy, Zelenski noted the evolution of the American position. According to the Ukrainian leader, Washington's approach to Ukraine and Europe's safety has changed since Trump took office.

"Today president Trump's position is, in my opinion, truly balanced" - said Zelenski. He added that Trump "supports Ukraine's position, although he undoubtedly wants to stay a mediator between us and Russia to end this war".
