The Final Gala of the 3rd edition of the competition "WOT friendly employer" was held on 4 June 2025 in Zegrzu. The awards awarded in 5 categories went to entrepreneurs, supporting workers of soldiers of the Territorial Military Service. In the category of education and education, the first place was taken by the Władysław Reymont School Complex in Konstancin-Jeziorn.
"WOT Friendly Employer" is an initiative aimed at honoring and promoting employers who support their workers who are soldiers of the Territorial defence Army (WOT). The aim of this programme is to make better working conditions for those who combine professional life with military duties. The programme organises a competition in which employers can participate with peculiar support for their soldiers.
By the 3rd edition of the competition, more than 130 entities submitted. The notifications sent included entrepreneurs, educational establishments, enterprises in the state sector and public administration offices. On 4 June 2025, at the Club of the Centre for Communication and Information Technology in Zegrzu, winners of each category met at the ceremonial Final Gala, where at the hands of Brigadier General Krzysztof Stańczyk, WOT commanders received statues and distinctions.

Thanks to your openness for cooperation, WOT soldiers can carry out the most crucial tasks for the Republic of Poland. Your flexibility straight translates into our operational readiness. Enabling their staff to service in situations that are crucial for the safety of local communities and the full state. Employers - your attitude is simply a model of social responsibility, patriotism and knowing for the public service. Without you, it would not be possible to combine work with work to the Homeland. Thank you for being with us. Together we are building the resilience of the state, which is very crucial for all of you at this peculiar time - Mr Stańczyk addressed the participants of the event.
In the nationwide plebiscite winners were selected in 5 categories: micro-enterprises, tiny enterprises, medium-sized enterprises, education and education as well as enterprises of the state sector and government offices. 11 employers were reported to the plebiscite for the 6th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade. The winner in the category of education and education was Władysław Stanisław Reymont's School Complex in Konstancin-Jeziorn. The statue at the hands of the WOT commander was received by the school director, Krzysztof Jabłoński:
- I'm sorry. We wouldn't be the directors here if it weren't for our employees, if it wasn't for the teachers, if it wasn't for the soldiers of the Territorial defence Army. I would like to stress here how crucial it is to hire as soldiers' teachers. They are on the front line - right after parents - in the transfer of values, in the transfer of cognition and in the transfer of the most crucial things in life. Therefore, I consider hiring soldiers as teachers a immense precedence in my work. As a soldier of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade, I thank you very much for your support for the school, that we can always number on you, and that cooperation with the “sixth Mazovian Defence Brigade” is simply a model - says Krzysztof Jabłoński.
In another categories the winners were:
KAGRO sp. z o.o. - winner in the category of micro enterprises, Legnicka peculiar economical region S.A. - winner in the category of tiny enterprises, Medical Center "Medical" - winner in the category of average enterprises and Marshal Office of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. A peculiar award, for cooperation with the Territorial Defence Army Representation Centre, was awarded to the Municipal Office in Zwolen.
It is worth noting that hiring soldiers serving the Territorial Military Service brings a number of benefits to employers.
At the beginning of 2025, the provisions on the anticipation of deducting from the taxation base up to PLN 24,000 for each worker who was simultaneously a WOT soldier began to apply. This amount shall depend on the dimension of service of the staff associate and shall be translated as follows:
- PLN 12,000 if a soldier employed in a territorial military service relation as well as a soldier of an active reserve performs at least 1 year continuously territorial military service or service in an active reserve;
- PLN 15,000 if a territorial military service soldier employed in the employment relation as well as an active reserve soldier serves at least 2 years continuously territorial military service or active reserve service;
- PLN 18,000 if a soldier employed in the employment relation of a territorial military service, as well as a soldier of an active reserve, has been engaged for at least 3 years continuously in the territorial military service or in the active reserve;
- PLN 21,000 if a territorial military service soldier employed in the employment relationship, as well as an active reserve soldier, has been engaged for at least 4 years continuously in the territorial military service or active reserve service;
- PLN 24,000 if a soldier employed in the employment relation of territorial military service as well as a soldier of an active reserve performs at least 5 years continuously territorial military service or service in the active reserve.
Importantly, micro-entrepreneurs or tiny entrepreneurs (within the meaning of points 1 and 2 of Article 7(1) of the Act of 6 March 2018 respectively). – The right of entrepreneurs) may increase the abovementioned amounts by a origin of 1.5. Employers employing at least 5 employees throughout the taxation year, who at the same time are not micro-entrepreneurs or tiny entrepreneurs, may increase the above amounts by a origin of 1.2. The amount of the deduction shall be payable on each individual employed in the employment relation of a Territorial Military Service soldier or Active Reserve soldier who, in accordance with the employment contract, is entitled to a monthly wage of at least a minimum wage for the work. The word of service of a Territorial Military Service soldier or Active Reserve soldier shall be set at 31 December of the taxation year or the last day of employment of that soldier in the taxation year.
