On September 1, an American anti-terrorism run was launched against maritime smuggling of drugs carrying illegal substances to the American shore (or transiting them). So far, the Americans have destroyed more than 20 vessels and killed more than 80 drug-terrorists (as defined by the American administration). The revised list of terrorist organisations has been supplemented by drug cartels, so they are treated as Al-Qaeda members or the alleged muslim State from an American law perspective.
