W the end – you would like to say. After the election campaign, which one more time proved to be the longest, "most crucial in history" and surely exhausting not only for candidates and their staff, but besides for all voters. You can get enough.
Looking from a citizen's perspective, it is hard to realize how any politicians have again lost contact with the reality that a large part of society sees. In 2023, Jarosław Kaczyński's camp lost due to the fact that he had nothing to offer but the settlements of political opponents and the hatred of people who disagree 100% with the rulers.
Donald Tusk's camp, however, rapidly lost his political sense, due to the fact that after a year he followed the same path. It was considered adequate to scare opposition and settlement games. Most of the another 100 specifics or requests concerning solving circumstantial problems of Poles and Poles were forgotten or stuck in coalition disputes. What was the consequence – we again found out on election Sunday.
The ongoing generation of disputes between the PiS and PO camps begins to be destructive for our country. We reached the border erstwhile we ceased to function as a community and created 2 dominant tribes whose main goal is to destruct each other, regardless of the consequences.
When was the last time we attempted to compromise on an crucial issue beyond divisions? erstwhile in political discourse did we hear something affirmative about people who think differently? erstwhile were even any of their demands realized? erstwhile will we halt “writing out of Polishness”? Is there any chance that we will be a Community, diverse and disputing, but within reasonable limits? erstwhile will we have the president or Prime Minister of “all Poles and Poles” again? (really, not only verbally).
When can we truly say that “the end”? Unfortunately, it seems that while the leading function of people in Polish politics has been played by people who have been engaged in disputes motivated in an crucial part for years (although not only – it is essential to emphasize clearly) with individual ambitions to play against opponents, this will not happen soon.
40% of people voted in the I circular for another candidates than from the PO-PiS camp. But it's inactive a distinct number that can't break the duopol. all time it seems that this balloon must yet break. But erstwhile again, there's more and more air in it. Sooner or later, he'll most likely explode. Let's hope that after this detonation there will be no ruins from Poland.
But now we're moments distant from the next election. So let's just stick to the fact that hope dies last...
