On Monday, Bloomberg portal informed that Poland would sign a contract with the US for providing logistical support for Patriot rocket defence systems. The deal is about 2 billion dollars. This is the final phase of preparation for the full operational capability of the system.
The authoritative signing of the papers took place in Sochaczew, where the 37th Air defence Rocket Squadron is stationed.
“This place symbolizes very crucial issues for us (...) Poland is simply a unique example of good cooperation on security NATO, Europe, the European Union," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Important Polish agreement with the US. "Investment to preserve peace"
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish said that present Poland builds multi-layered air defense, consisting of short-range systems — ‘Pilica plus’, ‘Narew’ — and medium-range strategy ‘Wisła’. The signing of the agreement with the US called it a "big investment".
– The agreement that has just been signed is provision of equipment and logistics safety for well-functioning Patriot batteries, to the full system, the full Vistula programme.
