As we informed onTemat.pl, on 5 May there was a staff debate at Polsat News. Then 1 committee – deliberately – did not receive an invitation to the event.
– If anyone wants to perceive to Maciej Maciak's staff, let Russia present turn on – said Piotr Witwicki, manager of the Polsat tv Information and Publications Section, and editor-in-chief of the Interia.
The point is that Maciak does not hide sympathy for the Russian and Belarusian regime. In his election campaign, he besides said he admired Vladimir Putin. There is besides large controversy about actions and speeches (not only during debates) of another candidate – Grzegorz Braun.
Only in the case of a debate held on 12 May by TVP, TVN and Polsat, no committee and no candidate can be banned from participating in the event. specified a debate is "statutory" and it is entitled to be joined by any candidate who collected 100,000 signatures.
"Television of the Polish Stock Company, hereinafter referred to as 'the Polish Television', is obliged to hold debates between representatives of these election committees in elections to the Sejm or in elections to the European Parliament in the Republic of Poland, which registered their lists of candidates in all constituency, and in the case of elections of the president of the Republic – between candidates" - we read in Article 120 of the Electoral Code.
