If you are 18 years old, but you are not 35 yet, take part in the action of the Defence Ministry “Holiday with the Army”. “Young people can experience a large adventure in this way and service their homeland,” encourages Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Last year 11 1000 Poles were trained in the first edition.
The head of the MON took part in a gathering on Friday on the occasion of the Polish Army Representation Regiment. The ceremony took place in the barracks of the Polish Army Cavalry Squadron in Warsaw Stara Miłośnie. – You are witnessing past and hope for a better future. You are representatives of more than 200,000 Polish Army soldiers – said Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish, addressing soldiers of the unit, which is simply a card of the Armed Forces of Poland. – But in fact you are representatives of each of us, each of the Poles – said the head of the MON. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz pointed out that pride from uniform unites all generations of Poles, and the personification of these ideals is the soldiers of the Representation Regiment.
– Keep these abilities, keep this quality and class, due to the fact that it makes us feel the seriousness of the Polish state, we feel the majesty of the Republic – said the Deputy Prime Minister. – respect for the Unknown Soldier's Sepulchre is not only an expression of respect for those who have given their lives, but is besides a building of attitudes, thanks to which subsequent generations will defend their homeland, keep their peace and make it. Without you it would be much poorer – Kosiniak-Kamish assured.
The Polish Army Representation Regiment was established in 2018 based on the pre-existing typical Battalion. It consists of 3 typical companies, a cavalry squadron, a salute platoon and the Polish Army Representation Orchestra. Soldiers of the regiment safe state, military and patriotic-religious celebrations both at home and abroad (last year it was about 1500 celebrations, plans for 2025 presume an increase of this figure to around 2000). They are besides liable for carrying out an honorary service before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw and at the post before the Presidential Palace. They accompany people who are peculiarly well-deserved for the state and soldiers during ceremony ceremonies.
Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz besides reported present that the recruitment of those willing to participate in military training in the "Holiday with the Army" action is underway. – Young people can thus gain the right skills, experience a large adventure, service their homeland. “Holidays with the Army” is simply a peculiar summertime edition of basic training conducted in the framework of voluntary essential military service. After the end of the vacation with the military, volunteers will be able to supply the ranks of the active reserve or proceed their service by joining specialist training. Those who do not choose any of these options will be transferred to the passive reserve.
