Visit of the Greek Armed Forces delegation

On 12-15 June this year, a military delegation from Greece arrived at the invitation of Commander 20 of the Przemysl Territorial Defence Brigade as part of a visit to the Przemysl OT Brigade. Due to the deficiency of an equivalent for the Territorial defence Army, representatives from the engineering troops were sent from the Greek side to attend the meeting.

For 4 days, the OT brigade manufacture hosted 3 representatives of the Greek Armed Forces as part of an information visit related to the partnership exchange. During the gathering with the Commander and management of the 20th PBOT, she was presented with past and traditions. Members of the delegation were informed of the specificity of the functioning, tasks and organisational structure of 20 of the Przemysl Territorial Defence Brigade, the location and function in crisis management, equipment and armaments of the brigade.

The anticipation of organising joint ventures and developing cooperation in the future was besides presented. Representatives of the Greek Armed Forces expressed large interest in the way in which they operate. 20 PBOT and presented the specificity and tasks of the engineering troops of Greece, as well as their function in crisis management. The Greek military besides presented the basic equipment that is in the equipment of each engineering battalion.

The next phase of the gathering was a demonstration of equipment and armaments of the Przemysl Brigade of OT, and then a tour of the city and fortress Przemyśl.

An crucial component of the visit of the delegation from Greece was its participation in the advanced celebrations of the Brigade, combined with the celebration of the Military Staff Brigade and the oath of the recently incarnate soldiers. At the end of the visit, the Greek delegation went to visit Bieszczady, including the dam in Solina.

The visit of the Greek delegation allowed for the exchange of experience in the field of organising and implementing training; the cognition of the mechanisms of the engineering troops of the Greek army and the presentation of the specifics of the operation of the 20th PBOT; the transfer of our experience in the implementation of crisis consequence tasks and cooperation with local governments; planning to keep communication and organise joint ventures.

Representatives of Greece invited the 20th PBOT as observers to participate in the crisis management exercise in November 2025 and to participate in the planned exercises in 2026.
