Russian forces increase the number of their troops in the border area in the direction of Kharkiv, which may indicate preparations for a fresh phase of intense assault activities, said on 21 May the Chief of Staff of the 13th Operational Force Brigade "Chartija" Andrij Pomahaibus.
– The enemy tries to shift its forces closer to the direct contact line and conduct at least partial assault operations. In general, however, they have small success. It is crucial to guarantee reflection on all the most susceptible directions of approach to our positions," he noted.
According to him, the concentration of Russian forces takes place in the immediate vicinity of the state border, indicating an effort to regroup and clearly prepare for active attacks. At the same time, Pomahaibus assured that the Ukrainian Defence Forces were ready to defy the attacks.
