Soldiers 3 of the Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade had a spectacular success in shooting competitions for the cup of the Head of the Board of designation and Electronic Combat. They defeated rivals from units specified as 18 DZ, 25 BKPow, 2 pr, 9 pr and 18 pr, winning triple gold individually, bronze and squad victory. The competition took place at the Police Training Centre in Nowa Dęba, and the awards were presented during the celebrations of the reconnaissance and electronic troops on 15 May 2025.
– The triumph of the territorialists is proof of their professionalism and excellent preparation. We have shown that not only are we equal to the best, but we frequently set fresh standards. It is simply a success that builds the prestige of our formation and strengthens its importance in the structures of the Armed Forces. It is besides confirmation that 3 PBOT is ready to carry out tasks at the highest level," said Colonel Michał Małyska, commander of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade.
Ten teams from reconnaissance units and electronic combat took part in the competition. The key competition was dynamic shooting and fatigue, which required precise shots from participants and excellent physical condition. Each squad consisted of 2 gunmen equipped with 5.56x45 NATO cartridge-powered rifles and 2 utilizing a military pistol. The key component of the competition was to get as many hits as possible in the shortest possible time, which required participants not only precision, but besides excellent physical fitness and ability to operate under pressure.
– This triumph is not just gold – it is proof that determination and regular training of territorialists let to defeat even the best of reconnaissance troops. WOT is simply a real force – not only do we keep pace, but we frequently set the pace. We work together, we do not slow down and we consistently rise the level,” the lieutenant emphasizes. The competitions were a test of both accuracy and durability under conditions akin to combat. Dynamic shooting and fatigue showed the effectiveness of territorials with 3 PBOT, confirming their advanced preparation and readiness to act under all conditions.
