The territory Court in Białystok sentenced a Ukrainian citizen to 3 years and 3 months in prison for fraud on the auction portal. The man was selling electronic devices that never went to buyers or were much worse quality. The full failure of victims amounted to PLN 80 thousand.
Judgment and consequences
In addition to prison sentences, the court imposed on a fraud:

- PLN 5 000 social benefit,
- two-year driving ban (man drove the car without permission).
Judgment is not valid – both the prosecution and the defence announced the appeal. Prosecutors demanded punishment 3.5 years in prisonWhile the defence requested 1,5 years.
How did the fraud work?
By District Prosecutors of Białystok-North, Ukrainian committed over 70 frauds or fraud attempts. He offered attractively priced electronic equipment that enjoyed large interest. Defrauded customers they paid for the goods, but did not receive them or received much cheaper substitutes.

Why was the conviction harsh?
Referee Anna Jamiołkowska stressed that the degree of social harm of the action was high:
"The accused acted for a low reason, for an easy profit, and the number of crimes — over 70 — affected the severity of the penalties."
