Tusk and another leaders go to Kiev

In a joint message published on Friday evening by French president Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and UK Prime Ministers Keir Starmer and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that on Saturday they would come to Kiev to show their "unwavering" support for Ukraine - said AFP agency.


The 4 leaders will first go to Ukraine together and, following in the footsteps of the United States, intend to appeal to Russia for "total and unconditional 30-day ceasefire".

They added that in Ukraine they besides want to give "a tribute to defenders of Ukraine killed and wounded in this war led by Russia, on Majdan, where flags to commemorate these victims float".

The 'Voluntary Coalition' was established on 2 March at the initiative of UK Prime Minister Keira Starmerand in order to make a comprehensive support plan for Ukraine, to guarantee its continued access to arms and to take action to end the war.
