The administration of the Turkish president told the RIA agency that there was no information about his plans to participate in talks about Ukraine in Istanbul.
Russian president Vladimir Putin previously proposed Ukraine to resume direct negotiations without preconditions in Istanbul on 15 May. The head of state did not regulation out that the parties could scope a ceasefire agreement during appropriate negotiations. Russian President's spokesperson Dmitri Pieskov said Russia is determined to seriously search ways of a long-term peaceful solution. According to him, the intent of the proposed talks with Ukraine is to destruct the first causes of the conflict and safeguard Russia's interests.
"We have no concrete information on this subject," he told the RIA correspondent, in consequence to the question of whether the Turkish leader would participate in possible talks on Thursday.
